Preventing Vaginal Odors

“Ladies NEED Water To Clean”

Toilet Paper Was Designed for Crusty Old Men

Unpleasant vaginal odor is a common problem for some women.

It is often caused by an overgrowth of vaginal organisms.

Or can simply be due to not having the tools to get clean when you need them.

Let’s face it, having just toilet paper in the bathroom will NEVER get your vagina clean like having a shower.

The bad smells are often noticeable following sexual relations and may come with embarrassing vaginal itching, irritation and discharge.

Let’s dive in to come possible causes of vaginal odor so you can fix them.

Connection between your rectum and vagina causing Odors

Sometimes a connection between your rectum and vagina (rectovaginal fistula) can cause the contents of your bowels to seep from the fistula and, as a result, gas or stool may pass through your vagina.

Both cervical and vaginal cancer can cause a displeasing odor. A tampon inadvertently left in your vagina also will cause a foul odor.

And of course, when changing your pad, you need to clean properly. And that means using water and a bidet sprayer.

Vulvovaginitis Causing Vaginal Odors

Vulvovaginitis is another very common reason for vaginal odor. Vulvovaginitis is an infection or inflammation of the vagina and vulva (external parts of the female genitalia). It can be caused by certain sexually transmitted diseases as well as allergens, bacteria, yeasts, viruses, and simple poor hygiene.

I understand many bathrooms in the west still only have toilet paper. This is an absolute travesty for women’s personal health.

  • bacteria
  • yeasts
  • viruses,
  • simple poor hygiene

Other Common Causes of Vaginal Odors

There are a number of other reasons for vaginal odor. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the reproductive organs that typically develops when sexually transmitted bacteria travels from the vagina into the upper genital tract. The symptoms of PID include an unpleasant odor and vaginal discharge.

Yeast infections, chlaymdia (bacterial infection that spreads via sexual contact) and the sexually transmitted bacterium gonorrhea can all produce a vaginal odor.

Bacterial Vaginosis

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, bacterial vaginosis (BV), also known as bacterial overgrowth, is the number-one cause of vaginal odor in premenopausal women. Bacterial vaginosis produces a fishy-smelling vaginal discharge that’s due to an excessive growth of normal vaginal bacteria. The cause of BV remains unclear, but it appears douching and /or having a new sexual partner or multiple sex partners may place women at a higher risk.

If you enjoy multiple partners, you must keep yourself properly clean with a bidet sprayer.

Final Thoughts on Vaginal Odors

I remember the first time I visited the UK, and I was shocked to find only toilet paper in the bathrooms. We were brought up to believe the British were so advanced. So superior to us in so many ways. But here they are still using toilet paper. That was 2010. And I guess not much has changed since.

Thankfully, plenty of girls have visited Southeast Asia and already discovered The Bum Gun bidet sprayer.

I honestly, can’t imagine how any girl can get through menstruation with just toilet paper. Yuk!

You deserve to have the tools to get ‘properly clean’ after every tampon or pad change.
