Amazon Beating On Their Customers Again?

Apr 25, 2018 | In The News...

I hear Amazon is in the news again for all the wrong reasons…

This time it’s not about them crafting sneaky ways to avoid tax, and not even about them mistreating their workers…

This time they are mistreating their CUSTOMERS!

I’ll explain how in a moment, but first…

Judging by the reactions in numerous social media platforms, the affected customers are nothing short of distraught!

So much so, that they are even threatening class action lawsuits…

I mean come on!

For anyone who has read my blog over the last 5 or 6 years will know, I don’t belong to the section of society who believe that every company MUST serve every customer.

Surely it is the right of every business owner to do business with whoever they feel happy with.

For example,  if a certain business owner has strong religious beliefs, and would prefer not to do business with certain individuals, surely that is their prerogative.

Why should we abuse our values and be forced to claim their values are more important than our own?

A case not so long ago springs to mind in the UK…

When a frail old couple, deeply Christian, who just wanted to retire in peace with a small bed & breakfast, in a sleepy seaside town, were suddenly front page news…

What was their crime?

They didn’t want a gay couple having sex in their beds, and then having to clean the sheets after they had finished…

Disclaimer alert: Before, you start sending me emails claiming I’m anti-gay, have the intelligence to read the full article.

Fair enough i say…

It’s their guesthouse. They should be allowed to choose who they allow to stay. Right?

What if a group of ‘The Sons of Anarchy’ hells angel biker gang turned up at the oldies guesthouse?

Each having rarely seen a bar of soap in years, all with a 24 slab of super-strength Tennent’s Extra Strong Lager under their bulging 22 inch biceps, and the majority already drunk…

And now demanding a room…

Would the frail old couple be in their right minds to offer them rooms?

Should they offer rooms because the law says ‘they must not refuse anyone’?

I think not…

As soon as the roar of the engines was heard, that ‘SORRY, NO VACANCIES’ sign should have been swiftly turned to face them.

Likewise, Amazon…

If they don’t want certain customers to shop with them, isn’t that their choice?

Now admittedly, I don’t know the exact facts why Amazon has terminated their accounts…

I’m sure they don’t want anyone to really know…

And yes, Amazon should have been more professional about the whole matter…

But class action lawsuits??

That just wreaks of the society we’re becoming. Where so many people think they are owed everything under the sun…

We’re in danger of becoming a sue-happy society, if we’re not careful.

Or has the damage already been done?

Certain snidy individuals are looking to get rich quick, and suing seems easy — and commonplace.

In fact, I’d go as far to say, suing is becoming ingrained in our minds.

We’re constantly bombarded through all those annoying TV advertisements with ‘something happened to me; somebody needs to pay for it’.

You know the ones…

Were you in an accident? It wasn’t your fault. Call Today, Free on 0800 WE SCAM

Far too many people seem hell bent on abdicating blame, and pointing the finger.

To the point that it is now damaging the fabric of our society.

Parents are afraid to let their kids go on the merry-go-round.

Restaurants refuse to cook a steak rare. And a blogger may be so apprehensive about telling the truth for fear they’ll be sued for libel.

Pathetic I say…

So what’s all the fuss about at Amazon?

Why don’t they just buy somewhere else, you might say…

Yes, they could, and in many cases should…

But sometimes it isn’t that easy.

For some people trapped in the “World of Amazon” they risk losing all their Kindle books, Prime Video, Amazon Echos, among other services.

Unfortunately, Amazon has become part of many people’s lives.

Leaving Amazon would be like losing a child to some people.

And that’s exactly how Amazon wants it, AND planned it.

It’s all part of their global plan for dominance.

So Why Has Amazon Decided to Crucify So Many Customers?

Amazon of course wants to protect their customers’ trust. So they are bound to take action when they think ‘certain individuals’ haven’t followed the rules.

Or is it just because there’s been articles in the newspapers that the Amazon review system is bogus?

And they want to ‘look’ like they are doing something about it?

Perhaps…

Are The Banned Amazon Customers Innocent?

Looks like some admit their guilt…

I saw a few people on a Facebook page come clean that they had violated Amazon’s review policies.

Supposedly they had reviewed certain products and received gifts and discounts in return for their positive reviews.

I mean this is nothing new.

Don’t most people have a feeling the Amazon review system can be fake?

Well, as my mother used to say, no major company got where they are by playing fair…

If you want to support Amazon, and don’t care what they get up to, go ahead and keep buying from them.

Alternatively, if you want to support small businesses then we would really appreciate your support, and we’ll fight tooth and nail to take care of you, as if you were family.
